Why Kids Should Do Gymnastics

No other sport includes all 7 fundamental movement patterns, (spring, landing, locomotion, rotation, statics, swing and manipulative skills).
Weight bearing sports increase bone density, stronger bones reduce the risk of injury and osteoporosis later on in life.
Increase self-esteem, by using positive feedback and encouraging ideas to improve.
Gymnastics burns calories and works all of your muscles.
We develop skills which will help in all other sports.
Develops coordination by crossing mid-lines.
It improves strength & flexibility.
Improves posture.
Improves balance.
Make new friends.
It's great fun

    Club History

Riwaka Brooklyn Gym Club has a long standing history in the Motueka region. Formed originally by Kaye Bisley in the early 1970's, many local children went through the club to achieve their Grade 1, Grade 2, Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Elite Incentive award batch.
An enthusiastic bunch of parents proudly fundraised for equipment and supported development of the club.
Club has been in storage after a shift from its original home and now the Club offers gymnastic classes from Motueka Rec Centre and Wakefield School Hall.
